How much is MAG?
At the original meeting of MAG it was decided by the members that there should be NO ANNUAL FEE and NO JOINING FEE. In essence it's FREE MEMBERSHIP. Instead, the fairest method of funding the group was to use the 'Pay as you go' method. You only have to pay for the meetings that you attend.
There may be times when there are no MAG meeting arranged and charging people a fixed price over the year would be unfair. If there is no fixed membership fee there wouldn't be a pressure to organise meetings so members could get their moneys worth.
The price for attending the average MAG meeting at the moment is set at a reasonable £2.50. When you consider the average MAG meeting lasts 3 hours and includes a host of different activities this is good value for money. Read More
Donations & Merchandise:
The other ways that MAG is funded is through kind donations from members supporting us and purchasing our reasonably priced MERCHANDISE from our recently updated Cafe Press site. As you can imagine there are a few other expenses incurred by MAG such as hosting this website for example. Any donations made will primerially be spent on venue costs and hosting, but refreshments for MAG meetings will also be purchased.
